At the same time, of course, it is much more than that. Ann Veronica Janssens placed the wall at right angles to the southern light, so that the sun gets in the player’s eyes. The artwork makes you experience the play of light and shadow in a special way. You “feel” the light and develop a more intense relationship with the environment. Since light is the main ingredient of this work, it is best to pick a sunny day to experience it.
Belgian contemporary artist Ann Veronica Janssens creates experiences that sharpen our perception of ourselves, our environment, and the relationship between ourselves and the environment. Informed by scientific research, she uses light, color, fog, glass, glitter, liquid, mirrors, etc. to bring the viewer to the threshold of another consciousness.
